Dockside Wall Sculpture - Sold

A sculptural tribute to the centuries-old tradition of hand-tying old, discarded rope into protective boat fenders.  Because the process was so time-consuming and required such skill, a sailor's well-made fender was a point of pride—a visible sign of their mastery of their craft and their respect for their vessel.

This minimalist interpretation is made with long-strand Turkish cotton for luxurious texture.  Dimensions: 6" wide , 24" high, 1.5" deep
